Friday May 1, 2015:
Eagle Fest Pageant Rehearsal: Optional Practice will be Friday, May 1st at 6pm at the Middle School. This will be the time you will draw for your child’s number in line and receive your information packets for the following day’s pageant. Don’t forget to bring your child’s shoes to practice.  
 If you are unable to attend the pageant practice to draw your number, then, whatever number has not been drawn will become your number for that category.


Saturday May 2, 2015:
Eagle Fest Pageant: The 8th Annual Ms. Eagle Fest Pageant is back! Brought to you by the Stewart County Chamber of Commerce, the pageant this year will be on, Saturday, May 2nd starting at 10:00 AM.
We are also excited to announce NEW CATEGORIES for our pageant!!!! Applications may be downloaded from our Facebook Group page or you may pick up an application at the Stewart County Visitor Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays located at 117 Visitor Center Drive, Dover, TN 30758. 
**Deadline for the pageant applications will be Wednesday April 29th at 5:00PM.**

Friday April 10, 2015:
Home School Day at the Homeplace:  Program free with HP admission. *Ideal for Home Educators.  Recommended for ages 5-12. The Homeplace invites home educators and their families to spend a day on the farm and experience life in 1850s.  At the first annual Home School Day, children will have fun doing old time farm chores, as they learn practical math and science skills to use today.

Land Between the Lakes events:
10am-12pm and 1-3pm - Sheep Shearing - HOMEPLACE Invited Artist - Gary Lawson

Program free with HP admission. *Ideal for Home Educators
It's time for the Homeplace sheep to have their annual haircut. Visit with sheep shearer Gary Lawson, as he demonstrates and discusses the
historic skill of hand shearing sheep. 

10am - 4pm - Wool Work* - HOMEPLACE
Program free with HP admission.  *Ideal for Home Educators
The work to make fresh new fleeces into yarn for next year's winter clothing begins today. Lend a hand as the new wool is carefully scoured, teased, and carded. 
11:30am - The Voice: Animal Edition - NATURE STATION
Program free with NS admission.
Join us at Nature Station for our spin-off of the hit TV show "The Voice." We'll learn about animal communication, as we watch different animal voices battle it out for victory. Come vote for which contestant you think is worthy of the winning title. 
2pm - Wild Edibles Hike & Tasting - NATURE STATION
$3 per person.  Fee is separate from NS admission. Reservations required because space is limited. Please call 270-924-2020 to reserve your place.
People have enjoyed nature's bounty for centuries, and here in western Kentucky our forests produce many tasty treats! We'll sample some foods and drinks made from local wild edibles and go for a one-mile hike to learn how to identify these items as they grow in the wild.

Saturday April 11, 2015:
Marathon in a Month: The kickoff will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 9 a.m. at the Stewart County High School Smart Course walking track at 120 Robertson Hill Road. In case of rain, the event will move inside the gym. There will be informational booths as well, and children are encouraged to participate alongside adults. A log sheet for your distance will be provided at the kickoff. Click Here for more information.

Saturday April 11, 2015:
Fishing for Fisher House: Bass Fishing Tournament at Lick Creek Boat Ramp on Saturday April11, 2015. Final Registration will begin at 4am and will end at 5:45am. The tournament will last between 7am - 3pm. All proceeds of the tournament will benefit Fort Campbell Fisher House, a home-away-from-home to families of military service members receiving treatment at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and other local hospitals. Click here for more information.

Saturday April 11, 2015:
March for Music: We invite everyone to come out to celebrate music and a healthy lifestyle, while helping the Band Boosters raise money for the the Music Program in Stewart County Schools!  For those not wanting to enter the 5k, come out and cheer your community on, and donate if you can! A late Registration Booth will be available from 9:00-9:45a.m. on day of event March 7, 2015 .

Vapor Shop: King Vapor is doing a "Baseball Gear Drive"!! Anyone who wants to donate will be put into a drawing for a chance to win a $50.00 gift card to a local establishment (to be announced)...if you're interested in helping out and donating for our local little league kids, just stop by King Vapor to drop off new or and be placed into the drawing. The drive ends April 30th!! Thank you in advance for your support of STEWART COUNTY KIDS!

Saturday April 4, 2015:
SC Senior Center Easter Bunny Excursion Train:  The senior center will be having their Easter Bunny Excursion on April 4, 2015. They will be heading to Watertown Tennessee Central Railway Museum, Nashville. They will leave at 6:30am. There will NOT be any breakfast served so be sure to bring snacks for the trip. Please be prepared to do a lot of walking.
